Man relief and development-MRD believes that provision of clean drinking water is a basic human right which every one deserves to receive it. MRD WASH program details:
Provision of clean drink water-Water trucking, construction/rehabilitation of water resources, construction and promoting the sanitation and hygiene at the HHs level, community level and national level.
Organizational Objectives:
1. To promote sustainable food security through
improved crop production, infrastructure rehabilitation, improved markets and
market chain linking.
2. To promote sanitation health and Nutrition
among Somali communities through provision of relevant infrastructure and
communication initiatives
3. To promote gender main streaming activities
within our areas of operation including gender equality and mitigating gender
based violence (GBV’s).
4. To support the needy and underserved
communities in targeted areas through provision of a minimum package of basic
services
5.
To rehabilitate
and develop local productive assets including but not limited to water points,
shallows and dams in order to improve access to clean and safe water in the
region
6.
To promote peace
in the community through integrating peace component in every session we hold
with communities
7.
To lessen
unemployment by creating employment opportunities to the community members in
our areas of work. This is done by giving more opportunity female than male.
8.
To Promote
child-girl education by discouraging all odds and harmful traditional practices
encouraging more girls to go to school and giving some incentives to the
school-going girls.
